DR. JOHN A. FREEMAN

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The Story of Dr. John Alexander Freeman

Dr. John Alexander Freeman’s life is a reflection of his curiosity and motivation. At 15, defying convention, he left high school to travel to Tahiti, and that adventure ignited a passion for exploration that would last a lifetime. However, this early journey did not thwart an equally ardent devotion to more cerebral pursuits.
Freeman became an enthusiastic student, gaining degrees from McGill Medical School and MIT, and thereby displaying his diverse talents. His life has included varied experiences, from being inducted into the Air Force to meeting some illustrious people and dealing with the complexities of family issues and interpersonal dynamics.

Freeman’s life, as described in his book, is underpinned by practical philosophy: “That which works is good.” Combined with his innate curiosity, this maxim has provided the structure for an extraordinary life characterized by adventure and profound contemplation. His memoirs represent a special account of a life fully intended to be lived.
